Sonos launches surprise March Madness sale on speakers

Sonos just might be back with its new releases, and it just launched a sizeable sale with up to $249 off a few familiar products.

Sonos seems to be coming out of a rough patch. Its companion app for consumer-facing audio is finally getting the attention it deserves, and it has even released new speakers within the last couple of weeks. Since its app seems to be working reliably now, its existing products suddenly look a lot more appealing.

Good thing they’re on sale, now.

Sonos just launched a sizeable March Madness sale, spanning across some of its most popular audio products. That includes devices like the Move 2 speaker, Beam 2 soundbar, and Sub Mini. The deals range from $40 to $249 off, but this type of deal set seems rare from the company.

The March Madness sale includes two portable speaker options. The Move 2 is down to $399 ($100 off) and is one of the cooler choices, since it has a charging base that doubles as a dock when it’s not in motion. When it needs to be moved, just lift and carry it away to your indoor/outdoor space. It’s both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi compatible with voice controls and a 24-hour battery.

The Roam 2 is more of a traditional approach. It has a 10-hour battery with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but no charging base. It is, however, IP67 water-resistant. Sonos’ Roam 2 is down to $139 ($40 off).

Headphones are also part of the sale with the Sonos Ace. They’re down to $299 instead of $399, and come in as some of the best headphones for the price. It’s currently the lowest price seen on these headphones, and they make an argument for the higher MSRP with Dolby Atmos, spatial audio, solid ANC, and sound quality.

Sonos is also discounting some of its entertainment components. Both the Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini are on sale individually. The Beam 2 is currently $369, while the Sub Mini is sitting at $399. You’d be better off getting them as a duo for $749, though. That set is usually $998, but this deal makes it harder to pass up.

Sonos’ current sale is going on until March 29. After that, these speakers will be bumped back to their original price. Unfortunately, the sale doesn’t include the new Play model, but that was only just announced.
