Following a price hike on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 that we spotted earlier this month, Samsung has now kicked in similar price hikes on a number of other Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The rapidly rising price of storage and memory has been affecting the entire tech industry, with some recent impacts seen in Motorola’s budget-focused Moto G lineup, Microsoft’s two-year-old Surface lineup, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z fold 7, as we reported.
Now, Samsung’s price hikes are expanding.
Highlighted by PhoneArena, 11 separate Galaxy devices in Samsung’s lineup have been hit with price hikes.
Affected devices include Samsung’s high-end smartphones including Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 Edge, and the upper mid-range Galaxy S25 FE, but also nearly every Galaxy tablet currently on sale. On the higher-end devices, Samsung isn’t raising the starting price, but any upgraded storage variants are jumping by $40-80. The price hikes on Galaxy tablets range from $50-280. The biggest price hike affects the 1TB version of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which jumped from $1,619 to $1,899, a jump of $280.

- Galaxy Z Fold 7 (512GB): Prev $2,119.99, now $2,199.99
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 (1TB): Prev $2,419.99, now $2,499.99

Most of these price hikes are around $50-100, but it shows that even Samsung isn’t immune to the ongoing RAM shortage and the rising costs associated with that. With more new Galaxy devices in the pipeline this year, it stands to reason that prices will probably going up.
As our Will Sattelberg pointed out earlier this year, buying a new phone, or really any new tech, is going to suck this year. If you are looking to pick up a new device, buying sooner rather than later really seems like the play right now.
