I can honestly say Google Nest Wifi (and the Pro, I've had both) are Google's best products. In my experience they are more or less flawless. I never have to touch them. Never have to reboot them. They just go on and on and on with high quality network performance.
The Nest Wifi router is now on software version 14150.883.231, while it’s 1.56.3.497142 for the Nest Wifi point.
Google lists the changelog entry as April 24, 2026 with “Stability and security vulnerability fixes.”
The most recent update for the point was in May 2025, with the router’s last release being October 2024 to deliver “Improved Wi-Fi mesh connection stability and resilience.”
Google’s Wifi devices update automatically overnight. To manually check, select your Nest Wifi router from the “All devices” tab and tap the settings gear icon. You can find “Software information” under the “Wi-Fi information” section.
