YouTube TV will keep The Weather Channel in new deal

The Weather Channel is a staple for many, but YouTube TV almost lost it before a new deal was struck.

The Hollywood Reporter details that YouTube TV and Allen Media Group have struck a deal that will see The Weather Channel, among others, stay on Google’s live TV service.

This new deal is a “long-term agreement” that includes The Weather Channel as well as lesser-known channels such as Comedy.TV, Justice Central, and Recipe.TV. YouTube TV first struck a deal with Allen Media Group in 2022.

You probably didn’t know The Weather Channel was on the chopping block, but it just goes to show that deals like these are constantly happening behind the scenes at YouTube TV. We usually only hear about them when things go wrong, as was most recently the case in a high-profile dispute with Disney last year.
