The new Lenovo Legion Tab (Gen 5) is a hard sell at $849, but a discount to $699 makes it a lot more palatable.
Available now through Lenovo’s website, Legion Tab (Gen 5) is $699.99 in its first discount. The new tablet went on sale just a few weeks ago with a huge price hike over the prior generation, landing at $849.99.
The Legion Tab (Gen 5) is one of a rare breed of sub-9-inch Android tablets with power under the hood, consisting of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, as well as an 8.8-inch 3040×1904 IPS 165Hz display and Android 16 – all adding up to that hefty price tag. The gaming-focused tablet is currently sold exclusively in “Eclipse Black” in the US, with the white and green colors currently missing.

Meanwhile, Lenovo has also refreshed the previous Legion Tab (Gen 3), restocking the tablet at a 20% discount – $439 – while also quietly launching a new “FIFA Edition” that Lenovo says includes a “Football inspired trackpad design & back cover.” The trackpad mention is odd given that Lenovo doesn’t sell a keyboard/trackpad combo for the Legion Tab (Gen 3), so we’d hesitate in recommending anyone pick up this new model until more details are made available – especially seeing as it’s sold for $569.99.
