Google Meet’s Gemini-powered ‘Take notes for me’ comes to Google AI Pro, Ultra

Following Workspace availability in 2024, “Take notes for me” in Google Meet is now available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.

When enabled, this Gemini-powered tool will transcribe your Google Meet call to create a summary that includes key action items. The goal is for “you to stay focused on the discussion.” These notes are saved to a Google Doc in your Google Drive, while you’ll also get an email (from “Gemini”) after the meeting.

Tap the pencil spark icon in the top-right corner of your Google Meet call to activate on the web. On Android and iOS, go to the Menu. You can also go to Google Meet settings and automatically enable the Gemini capability on every call.

You can customize the “Level of detail for recap” and format the document: Summary, Decisions, Next steps, and Details.
