Google releases ‘Pixel Audio Services’ for Pixel 10 on Play Store

Google has released a new Pixel Audio Services application for the Pixel 10 series.

According to the Play Store listing, “Pixel Audio Services is a system component that provides latest updates and bug fixes of audio modules.”

Google explains that this “component is pre-installed on your device and should be kept up to date to ensure a better audio experience.” This package name is com.google.android.apps.pixel.tabby and the latest version is 2026.06.16.932712397_release.

The icon is a puzzle piece, just like Pixel Camera Services (which is responsible for bringing Night Sight to supported third-party apps), with a waveform icon overlaid.

This is the “First release of Pixel Audio Services,” and the application was updated on June 29. On one of our devices (Pixel 10 Pro Fold), it appeared as an available release on the update list.

We’re able to install Pixel Audio Services on Pixel 10 series devices, including the Pixel 10a. It’s not available to download on the Pixel 8 or 9 series on Android 17.
