Ahead of their launch tomorrow, a new leak has shown off Nothing Ear (3a) in detail with vibrant colors and the return of a compact case.
WinFuture has published a host of images of Nothing Ear (3a) – sourced from “some careless retailers” – providing a first look at the budget-focused earbuds just a day before Nothing’s own unveiling. While there have been some teasers, this is a product that was largely kept a secret up until now.
That said, there’s nothing too crazy exciting here.
Nothing Ear (3a) looks a whole lot like Nothing Ear (a) from 2024, adopting the same basic shape and the case design from that generation. It’s a smaller case that’s not as thick as the standard square design used on Nothing Ear (3). There’s a transparent shell with a colored insert to match the earbuds.
Like that prior generation, there are black, white, and yellow colors, with a newcomer in a very vibrant pink color. It follows nicely in the footsteps of Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Headphone (a), both of which also picked up pink colorways this year, but the earbuds are far more vibrant and saturated.

Another change we can see here is a built-in trio of lights that probably serve as a battery indicator, and that this generation has a smaller overall case. The rounded shape of the inner portion is much smaller than Ear (a)’s more rectangular design.
As for the actual earbuds, there’s mention of 12mm drivers, support for LDAC and Hi-Res Audio, as well as a call recording feature and something called “audio snapshots.”
Pricing is said to be €99/$99.
Nothing has confirmed Ear (3a) will be officially revealed on July 7, less than 24 hours from now.
