Full Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Ultra specs leak, showing how different the wide one is

As Samsung’s event nears, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 leaks keep on coming, this morning with a full breakdown of the specs of Samsung’s new foldables.

The folks over at WinFuture have detailed effectively everything there is to know about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, with every spec revealed in a new report.

This really offers our most distinct way of seeing the difference between these two phones, including some reasons Samsung might consider its mostly-unchanged flagship worthy of the “Ultra” name. Specifically, three things.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra apparently gets an upgraded internal display, jumping from 2184 x 1968 on last year’s model to 2504 x 2256 this time around, which should result in a sharper display on the whole. Next up is the camera, which sees the ultrawide upgraded from 12MP to 50MP.

Then, there’s the charging. The battery is already a big upgrade at 5,000 mAh, up from 4,400 mAh, but Samsung is apparently also upping the charging speed to 45W.

That’s largely it, though, as far as upgrades on the Ultra go. It’s apparently a tiny bit thinner, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside gets the “For Galaxy” boost this year, matching the Galaxy S26’s special variant (which is just a higher clock speed).

As for the wide Galaxy Z Fold 8, the specific inner display resolution of 2448 x 1848 is just a bit taller than the 16:10 aspect ratio we’d estimated a few months ago, while the cameras are a big downgrade from the Ultra, both in that there are only two sensors, and in that the main one is only 50MP.
