Android 17 QPR2 lets you customize Pixel Quick Settings layout

The surprise Friday drop of Android 17 QPR2 lets you customize the layout of the Quick Settings shade on Pixel. This editor was introduced in the latest Android Canary build for a relatively short turnaround.

Open Quick Settings and tap the pencil icon in the corner for a new “Layout” tab at the bottom of your screen. This lets you reorder the Brightness bar, Tiles, and Media player (default). You cannot remove any of the three items.

There are a total of six possible combinations:

  • Brightness bar, Tiles, Media player
  • Brightness bar, Media player, Tiles
  • Tiles, Brightness bar, Media player
  • Tiles, Media player, Brightness bar
  • Media player, Brightness bar, Tiles
  • Media player, Tiles, Brightness bar

Android 17 QPR2 should launch this December.
