Samsung is expanding its Android 17 / One UI 9 beta program to several new Galaxy smartphones this month, signaling that the stable release isn’t too far away.
One UI 9, based on Android 17, is live out of the box on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Flip 8, but it’s yet to roll out to the broader Galaxy ecosystem. Galaxy S26 users have been able to test the update in beta for the past few months, but it’s only now that the beta is expanding.
Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 9 beta is now expanding to the company’s 2025 flagship lineups, including:
- Galaxy S25/+/Ultra/FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Galaxy Z Flip 7
The update will be available as an opt-in beta through the Samsung Members app in India, Korea, the US, and the UK “in September.” While there’s no concrete timeline, it’s likely to be sooner than later based on past releases.
Samsung says:
Following the expansion of the One UI 9 beta with the Galaxy S26 series in May, the program will roll out to more devices starting in September. Eligible devices include Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 FE. The program will be available in select markets, including India, Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. Users can sign up to participate through the Samsung Members app.
