Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max has a 13.3-inch display, Android 17, and a 12,000 mAh battery

Xiaomi has a new flagship Android tablet incoming, with the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max packing a huge display and battery with Android 17 out of the box.

Debuting in China with no word yet on global markets, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max looks pretty compelling on paper. It features a 13.3-inch display front and center with minimal bezels, but an LCD panel at 3408×2272. That’s a 3:2 aspect ratio on a display that also features a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nit peak brightness, GSMArena points out.

Pad 9 Pro Max runs Android 17 out of the box with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. The whole thing runs on Xiaomi’s in-house XRing O3 chip, the same one powering the Xiaomi 18 Fold and using Arm’s latest GPU.

Rounding things out is a metal build at just 5.67mm thick and 645g. Despite the thin profile, it packs a 12,000 mAh battery. There’s also an option for a matte finish on the display glass (which weighs a few grams more) and colors include two shades of gray and a dark red.

Pricing starts at CNY 4,799 – around $715 USD. As mentioned, there’s no word on availability outside of China at this point.
