Leaked Galaxy S27 Ultra color list doesn’t include Purple, for a change

There’s very little left of the Galaxy S27 Ultra left to surface before launch, but new information might change what to expect in Samsung’s device color options.

According to a short and straightforward post on Twitter/X by @UniverseIce, the Galaxy S27 Ultra series will come in four base color variants – Black, Blue, Light Pink, and White. That doesn’t include the Samsung online exclusive colorways, which usually add a couple of hues to the lineup.

Previous leaks claimed Samsung would offer the Galaxy S27 Ultra in five colors, all of the above included except Purple. It’s unclear whether a purple version was excluded this time around, or if Samsung plans to sell the version as an online-exclusive. Those don’t cost more, but they’re only available from the company’s website and not third-party retailers.

It would be a first in four years if Samsung didn’t release a purple Galaxy S Ultra phone. The Galaxy S23 Ultra in 2023 came in Lavender, and since then, every Galaxy S Ultra phone has been available in some similar shade.

It’s worth a quick note that Light Pink comes so very close to Lavender on the color wheel, so do with that information what you will.

In combination with the new camera bar, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will take on an entirely new look. Its design is set rather far from the look of nearly every Galaxy S Ultra phone since 2021, thanks to the camera island spanning the entire rear panel.

Whether you like it or not, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will look like an entirely different phone. And now, it will look different in LavenderLight Pink.

Of course, that hinges on whether the leaks we’ve seen prove true. Samsung plans to launch the new devices early next year.
