The new Google Streamer is a big upgrade over the Chromecast it replaces, but the $99 set-top box is already heavily delayed for new orders, with shipments going out no sooner than late October from the Google Store.
If you head to the Google Store to pick up the new Google TV Streamer, you’ll be waiting through the end of October for delivery. We’re seeing the standard “Porcelain” color at an estimate of October 24-25 for our delivery address in North Carolina, though those dates may vary slightly in other parts of the US. For instance, to Beverly Hills’ iconic zip code, the shipping dates for “Porcelain” are a bit later.
The Google Store-exclusive “Hazel” is even further delayed into November. The dates below are based on zip codes in NC and California.
- Google TV Streamer “Porcelain” – October 24-25 / 25-28
- Google TV Streamer “Hazel” – November 14-22 / 8-17
This delay in shipments comes just a day after the Google TV Streamer was actually released.
However, you can get the Google TV Streamer sooner if you buy it elsewhere.
Best Buy is currently the fastest option in the US, with the Streamer available for in-store pickup in some locations and shipping immediately with delivery as soon as 1-2 days. Amazon is also carrying the Google TV Streamer, but with shipments currently delayed by about a week with no Prime speeds. You can also find the Streamer in stock at Home Depot or Lowe’s, including with limited in-store stock.
