Some Pixel Tablet accessories we can’t live without [Video]

To get the most out of your Pixel Tablet, here are some essential accessories we can’t live without.

While the Pixel Tablet might not be the newest kid on the block, its sleek design and neat features make it an excellent addition to any smart home. As a versatile in-home screen, it can handle everything from controlling your smart devices to streaming your favorite shows – but it can be better.

We’ve tested a number of accessories that work well with Pixel Tablet and these are some of our favorites.

EIP Magnetix keyboard case

The iPad has tons of third-party accessories that replicate the laptop experience by offering a trackpad, keyboard, and case all in one. On the Pixel Tablet, the closest accessory we have tested is the EIP Magnetic keyboard case.

First and foremost, this is a protective cover for your Pixel Tablet. It also has a built-in keyboard with backlighting so you can type and tap late into the evening. It is worth noting that the keyboard is a bit cramped compared to a traditional laptop keyboard, and the trackpad does feel cheaper than I’m used to from a laptop like the MacBook Pro. Still, overall, everything is functional and is pretty much what we hoped Google would have released in the first place.

The trackpad is a neat addition that lets you take advantage of the dedicated desktop mode that is available in Android 15 QPR3 Beta 2 and coming with the next Pixel Feature Drop.

Build quality-wise, the case itself feels great. The inner texture is made with vinyl rubber, while the outer fabric-like material covers the outside folio portion. The kickstand itself feels firm with plenty of resistance, so it stays in place from 30 to 125 degrees.

There is even a cutout so it can connect to the official Pixel Tablet charge dock without having to remove the case. Lastly, it does have a stylus loop for storage, and overall this completes that mobile, Chromebook-like workspace I’ve been dying for since day 1 of the Pixel tablet

At under 20oz, the entire package is perfect if you want to try and do some “real” work with your Pixel Tablet and hate having to carry around a keyboard and mouse separately. If Google continues to develop the desktop mode, accessories like this could be a must-have for the Pixel Tablet very soon.

Maxeye USI 2.0 stylus

Google still hasn’t released an “official” stylus accessory, but despite the fact that the Maxeye stylus is designed for the Amazon Fire Tablet, it works flawlessly with the Pixel Tablet.

Because this is a USI 2.0 stylus, you get all of the standard benefits, including pressure sensitivity, palm rejection when in use, and a low-latency connection. One of the biggest bonuses of the Maxeye stylus is that it does not need to be connected to the Pixel Tablet via Bluetooth.

There are side buttons that enable additional functions in apps like Infinite Painter, and it’s a useful little tool for signing documents or scribbling up notes. The build quality is impressive, considering that it’s made of plastic, and the matte finish is classy.

One of the only frustrations is that this stylus requires AAAA batteries, which are harder to come by than AAA or AA batteries. We recommend getting some rechargeable AAAA batteries as you’ll save a lot of money in the long run.

Anker 5-in-1 USB-C adapter

Honestly, you could use just about any USB-C hub with the Pixel Tablet, as these accessories are a dime a dozen. That said, Anker makes some of the most reliable options in our testing.

Not all USB-C hubs are created equally, but having 5 ports to expand storage or add some extra peripherals is always a bonus. While the Pixel Tablet doesn’t yet support HDMI output, if Google ever does choose to enable output to external screens this 5-in-1 adapter has you covered. You can charge and keep things connected, too, which is always a bonus.

Pixel Tablet official kickstand case

Despite its premium price tag, the Pixel Tablet official case is a worthy investment for Pixel Tablet owners – especially if you don’t have the official speaker dock. Because it’s tailor made for the tablet, it fits like a glove and plays nicely with that aforementioned charger dock.

The kickstand doubles as a handle, too, but the strength of the ring means you can hang the tablet up in many places. For me, this makes it a standout accessory that elevates your tablet experience. Whether you’re a frequent traveler, a student, or simply someone who appreciates protection and style, the Pixel Tablet official case is sure to impress.

What are your favorite Pixel Tablet accessories?

The Pixel Tablet has been around for a while now, but it doesn’t have too many great accessories to choose from. With that in mind, what are some of your favorites? Let us know down in the comments section below.
