Google is kicking off 2025 Pixel updates with the Android 15 January security patch today for the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold.
There are 26 security issues resolved in the Android 15 January patch dated 2025-01-01 and 12 for 2025-01-05. Vulnerabilities range from high to critical. The dedicated bulletin for Google devices lists one additional security fix.
The factory and OTA images are now available, with the on-device update appearing immediately on our Pixel 9 Pro at a rather sizable 93.22 MB.
