It’s often said that an update is “long-awaited,” but it couldn’t be more true in this case. Samsung’s One UI 7 update is supposedly right around the corner, but the first version won’t come with some of the most anticipated AI features.
One UI 7 is based on Google’s Android 15 update, which has been made available to most Pixel devices. Samsung’s version of One UI 7 is set to come with some timely features, like an AI summary for quick access to notifications and revamped emojis developed by Samsung’s AI engine. AI summary will likely work a lot like Apple’s version in iOS 18.
That said, known source @chuncn8888 on Twitter/X noted that the version of One UI 7 that rolls out in full won’t come with “most” Galaxy AI features. That includes AI summaries and AI emojis, specifically. Those features will come in One UI 7.2. The post doesn’t include any other features by name, but it may mean that the first version of One UI 7 to become available will only pack visual enhancements.
The post also notes that the official beta will open next week, which aligns with previous leaks about the Android 15 variant. The beta will likely first roll out to South Korea and the US, with more to follow later. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that these AI features will be available in the early One UI 7 beta, though they may appear in the beta before the official release.
