Google Pixel’s new “theme packs” launched just a couple of months ago, but as the first release vanishes, Google says more “are coming.”
Theme packs on Google Pixel provide a one-tap way to give your phone a makeover, complete with a new wallpaper, colors, and sounds. It’s a neat idea that debuted with a “Wicked: For Good” partnership that included two themes to represent the film’s two main characters.
But, as of January 31, the one and only theme pack for Google Pixel devices expired.
Google no longer advertises the “Wicked” theme pack when changing your wallpaper on Pixel, and has stripped the theme pack from selection as of January 31. Pixel owners don’t exactly miss it.
In its place, Google has a teaser saying that “new theme packs are coming soon.” A “more” button on the page doesn’t do anything, though, so what’s around the corner is really anyone’s guess. What theme would you like to see next?
