Nothing’s Essential Space gets major update with event detection, search, ‘For You’

Nothing has announced a pretty major update to its Essential Space app, delivering not only a cleaner UI, but also new features, including event detection and search.

Detailed in a forum post, Nothing is rolling out a few key updates for Essential Space, the AI-powered hub for saving screenshots, pictures, and notes on Nothing Phones. This starts with a major UI update. The app is now broken down into “For You” and “Library” tabs.

“For You” shows action items generated by the app, while “Library” shows all of the saved notes and images you have available.

To help populate that page, another big update is event detection in Essential Space. Nothing says that the app will now be able to automatically create events with a time and date based on content you’ve saved, whether that’s information in a picture or something you’ve said out loud to be recorded.

Finally, Essential Space is also adding search, something that’s frankly a little crazy to have been missing all of this time.

These updates are now rolling out to all Nothing Phones with an Essential Key, including: Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, Phone (3a) Lite, Phone (3), CMF Phone 2 Pro, as well as the new Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro.
