Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is discounted to just $219 for some, and it doesn’t make any sense

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is currently on sale, but some users are reporting a deal as low as $219; that’s if you can catch it right.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is one of our favorite smartwatches. The traditional circular Classic edition is out the window, and this square-ish cushion case watch takes its place. The Watch 8 Classic was released last year, but it’s still Samsung’s flagship wearable on Wear OS 6 – Google’s latest wearable operating system.

Samsung’s website has the Galaxy Watch on sale, and it’s a pretty good deal. It’s down to $369, which isn’t anything to shy away from. Still, trade-ins get you a better deal if you can time it with the release.

What’s really strange, though, is that some are reporting seeing the Watch 8 Classic on sale for $219. Even on our end at 9to5Google, Samsung’s website initially loaded in with the $369 price tag, but that changed after we looked away for a single moment. Now, that price reads $219, and nothing was changed. The most that changed was a quick glance at the “Specs” dropdown menu.

We’re not sure why the price is fluctuating, but if you can catch the Watch 8 Classic at $219, that’s an excellent deal. That’s well over 50% off the original $499 price tag for the base model. The trade-ins appear slightly boosted, too. But trading something in foregoes the instant $280 savings.

There’s no telling how long this deal will last, or if it’s a mistake. Still, it’s one of the best deals we’ve seen on the Watch 8 Classic.
