Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition is now available for $349, but you can already get it for less

Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy Tab A11+ has picked up a “Kids Edition” release with a sturdy case and special features, and you can already get it at a pretty steep discount.

The Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition is positioned by Samsung as a “worry-free” tablet, offering both physical hardware and software to make the experience better for younger kids. This starts with a protective “Kids Cover” that puts a thick shell around the tablet for enhanced drop protection.

Samsung is also bundling in “Crayo-Pen” stylus, tether for the pen, and a sheet of stickers too.

On the software side, Samsung’s experience for kids includes parental controls including screen time, blocking certain apps, and more.

At its core, though, this “Kids Edition” release is still just a Galaxy Tab A11+, so you can turn off those software features and remove the tablet from its case to keep using it as a standard Android tablet. That’s good news given the tablet has 7 years of Android OS and security updates.

Specs are also unchanged, with an 11-inch display, 7,040 mAh battery, 25W USB-C charging, Mediatek MT8775 chipset, and Android 16 out of the box. You’ll also get some increasingly-rare hardware features like a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition is available at Samsung.com for $349, and coming to Amazon later this week. The tablet is also on sale at Best Buy where, oddly, it’s priced $50 lower at $299. Alternatively, if you already have a Tab A11+, you can buy a separate Kids Cover for $39.
