It’s been relatively clear that Samsung is slowly trying to phase out the S Pen in its smartphones and, recently, the company took another small step towards that end by ending sales of the stylus for the few foldables that support it.
For stylus-loving smartphone buyers, Samsung’s S Pen has long been the pinnacle of this idea. In the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S Ultra to follow, the built-in stylus is very useful. And, on the Galaxy Z Fold series, the bigger inner canvas provides more room. But last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 ditched S Pen support in the pursuit of a thinner design, despite other foldables pulling it off.
That left Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 as the main foldables still with S Pen support, as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Fold 3 are reaching the end of their software support lifespans.
As SamMobile notes, Samsung has now ended sales of the S Pen for both of those devices. So, as it stands right now, Samsung does not sell an S Pen stylus for the Galaxy Z Fold series. That’s a problem for foldable owners, as the S Pen model designed for Galaxy S Ultra devices does not work with foldable screens.
In fact, Samsung.com has stopped selling spare S Pens for all last-gen Galaxy devices. The only one currently available for purchase is the S Pen for Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Of course, it’s always possible that Samsung could restock these older products, but their removal is certainly notable.
