Dizzying lineup of Galaxy Z Fold 9 devices leaks, including the Galaxy Z ‘Slide’

The Galaxy Z Fold 9 lineup looks complicated. Not only does Samsung reportedly plan to add another Fold model, but a slideable phone called the “Galaxy Z Slide.”

A leak on Twitter/X suggests Samsung is packing the house with releases for 2027. They won’t come all at once. Samsung is reportedly set to release the Galaxy Z TriFold 2, a sequel to the original multi-hinged phone that barely reached the public.

The leak divulges little beyond names, but it paints a clear picture of Samsung’s foldable releases next year. We already know what another TriFold 2 could mean – a lighter device easier to produce than the original, which was allegedly a hurdle for the company.

As for the Galaxy Z Slide, there’s less to go on. Samsung debuted a design concept at MWC and CES that extends vertically, but a concept is very different from a finished product. Considering how refined the Galaxy Z Fold series looks in its eighth iteration, it can’t look out of place.

The leak goes on to list several other models planned for 2027. The Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro is a little surprising as an addition to the lineup. Samsung seems keen on confusing its customers even more with another Galaxy Z Fold variation to dig into. Whether it looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or the taller Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is unknown. It may be a more powerful variation with a wide aspect ratio, after the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s obvious success.

And of course, the Galaxy Z Flip 9 makes the leaked list as well.

The Galaxy Z TriFold was released in late 2025, but Samsung is unlikely to release the next version this year. If the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 comes first, it might closely follow the Galaxy S27 series. Then again, none of this can be confirmed beyond rumor. Still, it’s an intense lineup for 2027.
