Last year, YouTube began rolling out its Stories vertical video format to more creators. The Google company is now surfacing YouTube Stories in the Home feed and even recommending accounts that users don’t follow.
One year ago, YouTube began testing a story-like format called “Reels.” Eventually renamed to YouTube Stories, the feature is now rolling out to creators with over 10,000 subscribers.
If there’s one thing Google does better than anyone else, it’s using software to make camera features better. Now, a beta feature is rolling out to a limited group of YouTube Stories users which lets creators swap out their background images with nothing more than a phone.
