Samsung rolling out October 2024 update to these Galaxy devices (without Android 15)

Samsung is rolling out its October 2024 update to Galaxy smartphones and tablets, but without the big Android 15 update that’s started rolling out elsewhere.

Samsung Galaxy October 2024 update – What’s new?

As One UI 6.1.1 continues to roll out, Samsung’s October 2024 update may or may not bring that update to your device.

The main focus of these monthly updates is always on security, and October is no different. Samsung details a list of dozens of patches included in this month’s update, including one specific to Exynos processors. There are two critical fixes applied, CVE-2024-33042 and CVE-2024-33052, which are both related to memory corruption.

But the big thing that’s missing is Android 15. Samsung confirmed earlier this month that the update won’t roll out to users until early 2025, with a beta being released sometime later in 2024. Google this week started rolling out Android 15 to Pixel devices.
