Next version of Android codenamed ‘Jelly Bean’?

This is my next is reporting that the successor to Google’s forthcoming “Ice Cream Sandwich” version of Android will be codenamed “Jelly Bean”, carrying on with its alphabetically ordered, candy-themed monikers.

Perhaps more interesting than the name itself, the report claims the “game-changing” features initially slated for Ice Cream Sandwich will now be pushed back to Jelly Bean, citing a “trusted source”. However, we don’t really know what implications this could have on Google’s big plans for Ice Cream Sandwich. Google’s Eric Schmidt recently confirmed that Ice Cream Sandwich will be launching sometime in October/November. This jives with rumors of the Ice Cream powered Droid Prime coming to Verizon mid-October.
