Today, Google announced that people in India can now make free calls from Hangouts to folks in the US and Canada. The freebie phone calls are available via the web, or the company’s Android and iOS apps.
The search giant also reminded us that calls to other Hangouts users over the web are free and residents of India can take advantage of Google’s one minute of free calling to select countries, or add credit to their account for longer conversations. To take advantage of this offer, Android users will need to download the Hangouts dialer from Google Play and people with iOS devices can snag the software from the App Store.
