The official start of CES 2015 is right around the corner, but as is the case every year, some early signage has revealed the plans of one company. According to a plethora of posters posted throughout the main hallway at CES, LG is planning to unveil its G Flex 2 device during the show this week (via The Verge). The original G Flex was released all the way back in December of 2013, so an update is certainly needed by this point.
The posters do not reveal too much information regarding the G Flex 2, aside from the fact that it will be curved and will be unveiled this week. The general design of the device appears to be nearly the same as the first-gen, so we’re expecting most of the enhancements of this second generation device to be under-the-hood. A report earlier this week claimed that the G Flex 2 would be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, a first in the mobile world.
The first generation G Flex was met with mixed reviews, with many reviews, including our own, praising the performance of the device, but questioning the need for the curved design and flexing capabilities. Maybe LG has some interesting changes up its sleeve for gen-two. We should find out this week.
