Samsung’s new Gear S3 is one of the few upcoming smartwatches that we’re actually pretty excited for, and after going on sale in various regions around the globe over the past week or two, it’s finally on its way to the United States.
Overnight Best Buy listed both the Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier as “coming soon,” although no pre-orders are available just yet. Pricing for both models lands at $349 and pre-orders should be opening within the next day or so. From what we can see, Best Buy has the non-LTE Frontier listed as opposed to the LTE model we saw when the watch was announced.
It’s unclear when sales of the Gear S3 will start here in the US, but we’ve heard reports of mid-November. Pre-orders and sales should be opening up at other retailers over the next couple of weeks as well.
At the same time, Samsung’s Gear Manager app for Android has also been updated with support for the Gear S3 as well as adding a refreshed UI that takes cues from Grace UX which we saw on the Galaxy Note 7. Aside from those details, not much else has changed (via SamMobile).
With Android Wear mostly on a break ─ aside from the ZenWatch 3 ─ are you looking to check out Samsung’s new wearables?
