Chromebook’s are becoming a viable option for people with simple computing needs, and while the laptop alternative typically ships with limited local storage, Google often tosses in 100GB of cloud space from Google Drive for two years. But to sweeten the pot this holiday season, the search giant is turning the dial up quite a few notches and tossing in 1TB of Drive storage with the purchase of an eligible Chromebook.
At roughly a $240 value, this offer outweighs the cost of most Chromebooks, in some cases even after sales taxes. Google normally offers this setup with its powerhouse Pixel, but it looks like the company is spreading the love, at least until January 1st, 2015 when this deal comes to an end.
Update: Google has shared with us that this offer is available with the purchase of any brand new Chromebook purchased between today and December 31st 2014. If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, you might want to check out the Acer Chromebook 11 or ASUS’ 12-inch offering. Walmart is also bundling a $50 gift card with an early generation Chromebook from Samsung. If you’re looking for more of a premium experience, our friends at 9to5Toys have the latest deals on just about every Chromebook you can imagine, including notebooks with touch displays. After your purchase, you can redeem your Drive storage space here.
