Samsung’s first Galaxy Note 5 commercial airs: It’s all about that S-Pen

Samsung pushed its first Galaxy Note 5 TV commercial to YouTube today, and no surprise, it’s all about what you can do with that S-Pen. Set to a fast-paced percussion soundtrack, with speedy cuts in the edit, it has been designed to make you excited at all you can do with the stylus as well as convey a sense of productivity and speed.

This year, Samsung hasn’t just redesigned the S-Pen to include a click-able end for easy ejection, it’s also created a whole host of new Air Commands and features for the awesome stylus. With the Note 5, you’ll be able to scribble notes on the screen even when it’s locked. What’s more, Air Command makes it really simple to create actionable notes or snap and edit screenshots quickly. The fancy stylus was one of my favorite features of the Galaxy Note 4, and from what I’ve seen, I love the improvements made on the new one. Especially that clicky end. (Yes, I’m one of those irritating people who loves to sit and click pens, endlessly.)

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were announced at an event earlier this week, and all four US carrier have announced plans to carry both devices. Some have made pre-orders available right away, while others are merely asking for you to register your interest. Be sure to check out our US carrier availability guide on who is selling the phones, for how much and when.
