App promo codes can now be redeemed via the Play Store website

When the Play Store finally launched support for app promo codes last month, they could only be redeemed in the Android Play Store. The Play Store on the web (as spotted by Android Police) has been updated to support app promo code redemption.

Previously, the website only had support for redeeming gift cards and promo codes for other media, likes movies & television shows. During the past few days, support for app promo codes have been rolling out for users. Before, users were directed to their phones, where entering codes are more of a nuisance.

Users can find the redeem interface on left hand menu panel under ‘My Wishlist’. Recently, the Play Store on Android received a small update that removed the ability to give app reviews a thumbs downs and began using Gmail itineraries to provide app recommendations. While the new version of the Play Store surfaced last week, most users have yet to receive the update.
