Huawei P9 release date seemingly scheduled for April 9

During the past week, several new details have emerged pertaining to the design and specifications of Huawei’s next big smartphone announcement. We’ve seen the device from virtually every angle, and read through a list of specifications we’re expecting to see in the Huawei P9. Earlier today, reliable leaker Evan Blass tweeted out a possible scheduled release date.

According to Blass, Huawei is planning to release the flagship P9 on April 9th. With the source’s very reliable track record, we have very little reason to believe this is inaccurate. What’s more, it matches up with last year’s launch schedule for the Huawei P8, which was also announced and released in April.

It’s claimed that the P9 will feature a 5.2-inch full HD display and be powered by a Kirin 950 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Like the LG G5, it’s also expected to have a dual camera set up on the back, along with a fingerprint sensor. It will almost certainly run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and is rumored to host a large 3,900mAh. It’s also claimed there will be a ‘premium’ version of the device with 4GB RAM, a Kirin 955 processor and at least double the amount of internal storage.
