Following some serious issues with performance, Sony Canada has advised its Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium customers that it is temporarily pulling the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
A number of Z5 and Z5P owners in Canada have reported problems with the Google Play Store crashing as soon as it was opened, and a number saw the dreaded ‘System UI has stopped’ pop-up message. Until the update is stable, the company won’t re-release it.
Xperia Z5/Xperia Z5P owners: we’ve removed the Android 6.0 update at this time & will advise once it’s been re-issued. Thx for ur patience.

If you have experienced issues with the Google Play store following the Marshmallow update for Z5, Sony does have a quick workaround which should fix that specific problem. This workaround involves clearing Play Store data, disabling location services and then reinstalling the Android system. The following instructions were posted to Sony’s mobile forums.
1. Clear the data of the Play Store. To do this on your Z5:
Go to Settings > Apps > Show system > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear Data.2. Disable location services. To do this on your Z5:
Go to Settings > Location > Move the slider to the Off position.3. Reinstall the Android system.
To do this on an Xperia device, please follow the steps here.
