OnePlus promised last November that its first and second generation flagship devices would get Marshmallow by Q1 of 2016. Albeit slightly late, they have now made a near finalized version of OxygenOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 available for consumers to flash.
Soak testing for the OnePlus 2 started weeks ago and today’s version is “daily-driver-material.” OnePlus wants testers to provide feedback on performance and battery life, camera quality, and network testing. Those who download this build will be eligible for future OTA updates.
Those who decide to download should be aware that they’ll need to retrain their fingerprints and that there are some WiFI speed issues. Owners can find installation instructions on the downloads page and the full update changelog is below:
