Google is currently offering the Daydream View headset for just $49, down from $79

Google’s Daydream View VR headset is one of the better mobile VR options on the market, but it still undercuts the competition in price just a bit despite bringing a little more hardware to the table. Now, Google is offering a sale on the headset which cuts $30 off the retail price.

Generally, Google sells the Daydream View headset for $79 in any of three colors – slate, crimson, and snow. That includes the controller, and it of course works with all Daydream compatible devices. However, right now, Google is offering the headset for just $49. The sale will go on until February 25th, or until stock runs out, and applies to all three color options.

The Daydream View, if you’ll recall, supports all smartphones which have been certified for Google’s Daydream VR. So far, that includes Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, the ZTE Axon 7 (following its Nougat update), the Huawei Mate 9/Pro, and ASUS’ upcoming ZenFone AR. If you currently own or plan to buy these devices, this sale is absolutely worth taking advantage of.

Alternatively, if you’d like to pick up the headset from Verizon Wireless, the same deal applies there. Verizon tacks on an extra dollar to the price, but with the added benefit of Verizon’s Smart Rewards program. Just like Google, all three colors are on sale.
