Brookstone announces two new ‘Big Blue’ Bluetooth speakers with Chromecast built-in

Brookstone, that store in your mall that features a lot of over-priced tech and massage chairs, has their own line of speakers. The company has announced that they are releasing an updated version of two of their speakers — the Big Blue Studio and Big Blue Party. While the previous generation only featured Bluetooth, both of the new Big Blue speakers will now also have Chromecast built-in…

The Big Blue Studio is a stylish speaker that is designed to be placed around your home. As you can group the Studio with other speakers with Chromecast Audio functionality, you can essentially create a multi-room sound system to play music throughout your entire house.

The Big Blue Party is meant to be taken with you on the go. The Party is water resistant so that you can take it to the beach or bring it with you to the pool without worrying about it getting splashed. It also features four speakers and a subwoofer to provide 360-degree audio for everyone near the Party to enjoy.

If you ever do take the speakers away from your Wi-Fi network, though, you will still be able to stream music from your mobile device to the speakers over Bluetooth. If that doesn’t work, there is also a built-in aux port found on the back of each speaker.

If you’re interested in picking up either of these speakers, the Big Blue Studio is available in-store or online for $130 while the Big Blue Party is available for $250.
