The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards kick off in just a couple of weeks, and public voting is currently underway to determine this year’s award winners. This year, however, iHeartRadio is doing something a little different by partnering with Google to let users vote via their Google Home.

The best gifts for Android users

Using a new app for Google Home, users can cast their vote in the iHeartRadio Music Awards for the category of Most Powerful Female Voice. By simply saying, “OK Google, start iHeartRadio Awards voting,” the device will launch the app which is voiced by none other than Ryan Seacrest. He will walk users through the process of casting their vote for one of the six candidates, listed below.

Voting starts today and runs through midnight on March 5th, the night of the awards. The winner of this category specifically will be determined solely based on votes cast through Google Home and will be announced the day after the awards show on March 6th. Hopefully this partnership also pushes forward iHeartRadio’s previously announced plans to launch its service on Google Home…
