Update: TechnoBuffalo has obtained a spec list for the smaller Galaxy S8 which will include most of the same specifications, but with a smaller 5.8-inch display.

New flagships are right around the corner, with LG kicking things off this weekend with the highly anticipated LG G6. However, Samsung’s latest flagship will be landing not too far behind ─ the Galaxy S8. As with its past two flagship releases, Samsung is expected to launch two variants of the phone, the other being the Galaxy S8+. Now, we’re getting a few more details about that larger phone.

Courtesy of Evan Blass, this new spec sheet gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Galaxy S8+. Samsung’s larger device will apparently pack a massive 6.2-inch display, which as expected will be a QuadHD SuperAMOLED panel. What is interesting here is that Samsung, like LG, is going with rounded corners on the Galaxy S8+ which takes the usable screen size down to 6.1-inches.

Also confirmed is a single 12MP rear camera sensor, an 8MP front facing camera, IP68 water/dust protection, and an iris scanner just like the Note 7. Further, Samsung includes its Knox security layer, Samsung Pay and wireless charging. It’s also interesting to note that paired with the expected 4GB of RAM, Samsung appears to be starting this device with a minimum of 64GB of storage with support for a microSD card.

Last but not least, there’s also a note about the included headphones which are “tuned by AKG.” AKG is a respected brand in the audio space, so that means two things. First, there will likely be some fantastic headphones. Second, yes, there will be a headphone jack.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 in April following a brief teaser at MWC this weekend.
