Google Keep testing ‘Help me create a list’ on Android

Google brought the first set of Gemini Workspace features out of preview for personal accounts earlier this week. “Help me create a list” is now being tested in Google Keep.

This generative AI feature “can help you jump start shopping lists, to-do lists, packing lists, and more.” Those seeing it on Android are first greeted by a “Welcome to Workspace Labs” prompt explaining the test.

“Help me create a list” appears as a rather wide FAB (floating action button) when opening a new Google Keep note. You then get a prompt field and go from there. For example:

  • “Packing list for a camping trip with 2 kids in summer”
  • “Classic movies to watch on Halloween”
  • “Spring cleaning checklist for a 2-bedroom apartment”
  • “Groceries for a week for a vegetarian family of 3.”

Google encourages users to provide specifics for better results, while you can provide thumbs up/down feedback.

List creation would join Help me write in Gmail as the only other Gemini feature for mobile. All other features are just for the Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet web apps.

Meanwhile, Google is continuing the Workspace Labs program to test features, like the side panel, before they launch to Workspace customers and Google One AI Premium.
