YouTube TV wants to know what sports features you want next

YouTube TV is increasingly popular for live TV, especially thanks to features that make it a better option for sports fans than traditional cable. Now, YouTube TV wants to know what sports features you want to see next.

Sports features are already a big part of Google’s increasingly popular cable alternative. Multiview was a useful feature for the NFL season as well as other big events such as March Madness. Beyond that, the platform’s Key Plays feature is so good it won an Emmy in 2023. But, as with anything, there’s always room for improvement.

In a post on Reddit, YouTube TV is seeking customer feedback on what features they’d like to see next.

A YouTube TV Product Manager says:

Calling all sports fans! What’s on your wishlist for cool new features or functionality that you’d like to see us add? Think Key Plays, Multiview, etc. Sky’s the limit – be as creative as you’d like.

Some early ideas mentioned by fans including more versions of multiview (including different layouts and the ability to fully choose your own channels), picture-in-picture support, modes that help reduce spoilers in both live and recorded games, and more. Several have also brought up that YouTube TV has lost many regional sports networks and other sports channels over the past few years including YES Network, SNY, and the MLB Network, just to name a few.

You can leave your requests on YouTube TV’s Reddit thread which is still ongoing.
