After announcing that the Galaxy Watch FE would be getting an LTE model back in June, the company is finally ready to release it. The new Galaxy Watch FE LTE will start at $249 and is available for pre-order.
The Galaxy Watch FE is another addition to the growing lineup of devices in Samsung’s arsenal. The moniker stands for “Fan Edition” because the devices generally incorporate a lot of flagship features for a much more appealing price. These devices tend to cut some corners, but they deliver a good overall experience.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch FE is essentially just a Galaxy Watch 4 reboot with very similar specs. The body is the same size at 40mm, as there is no 44mm option that you’d find on the Galaxy Watch 7. The AMOLED display comes in at 1.02 inches with support for full-color AOD. Inside is 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with an Exynos W920 processor. The Watch FE is also 5ATM water resistant, which is a huge bonus.
As the LTE variant, the Galaxy Watch FE LTE gets access to 4G networks, provided there’s room in your cellular plan for it. Having an LTE variant is a great option if you like to run out of the house without your phone, as it can handle messaging and calls without a paired device.
The Galaxy Watch FE LTE edition is available for $249 on Samsung’s website. Those who pre-order the Watch FE LTE will get a guaranteed $50 trade-in. Those who purchase for the first time through the Shop Samsung App will get another $50 off.
