Since launch, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3 have appeared in the Google Home app, but this is not intended.
Update 10/8: Google has gone ahead and removed the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 from the Home app on Android and iOS. This is a server-side update, but version 3.24 has also widely rolled out this week.
Original 10/4: If you own those two wearables, they might appear in the Devices tab under the “Linked to you” section (scroll all the way down). Tapping a tile takes you to a Device settings page that notes how it’s “Connected through: Google Find My Device” with the option to unlink
Google tells us today that the “Google Home app does not support Find My Device and our teams are working to mitigate this to avoid further confusion.” Specifically, the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 tiles will be removed. You are supposed to use the Find My Device app to locate devices.
Pixel Buds Pro 2 is part of the Find My Device network, with support for Sony headphones rolling out now. As such, Google Nest devices can be leveraged to help locate things and give them an approximate position.
FMD network support for Wear OS devices is not confirmed, but would make sense. In my Google Home app, I just have the Pixel Buds Pro 2 appear and not the Pixel Watch 3.
