Xiaomi starts rolling out Android 15 without ‘HyperOS 2.0’ to testers [U]

Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 15 to its older phones, with Xiaomi 14 first in line.

As first reported by STechGuide (via GSMArena), Xiaomi has started rolling out its stable Android 15 update to the Xiaomi 14. This is the first Android 15 update the company has released outside of China. Previously, Android 15 was made available out of the box on the new Xiaomi 15 series.

However, this update isn’t based on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2.0.

Rather, Android 15 on the Xiaomi 14 is still based on HyperOS 1.1. Within China, Xiaomi is testing HyperOS 2.0 in beta on some devices. As such, this initial global update isn’t all that packed with new features, but it does include various fixes and improvements.

Update: This update is not a stable, widely available update, but rather one available to testers that Xiaomi had recruited. The update brings many of the visual changes from HyperOS 2.0, but isn’t the full update.

Thanks @Alpert7
