OnePlus November update brings tiny change to screenshots and weather app

OnePlus is rolling out one of its small monthly updates that are essentially supposed to supplement the majority of feature drops outside of big OS upgrades. This month, the small November update brings security fixes and a couple of function changes for OnePlus phones.

OnePlus first began releasing fun-sized updates in August, starting with a version that brought a small change to the calculator. These updates are not technically OTA rollouts, but they take the size of security updates and bring small changes to OEM apps and system functions, meaning users don’t need to wait for the bigger updates.

OnePlus recently announced a new November update with the version tag V10P02, which would be rolling out to users soon. That update brings a couple of small changes and will come to a wide variety of the companies devices.

The weather app is said to be optimized now with a new refresh frequency. OnePlus notes that this should improve the “timeliness and accuracy” of the native weather app. The screenshot tool is the other function to see a change. The changelog notes that scrolling screenshots have been optimized with a new speed, which should save users time.

The changelog also notes that system stability has been improved, much like in a security update.

The November 2024 update will be coming to OnePlus devices on Android 14 and 13. That includes the OnePlus 12 series all the way to the OnePlus 8T and even the Nord VE 5G. The company notes that this update will come as a gradual rollout.
