Galaxy S25 trade-in deals are better than ever, up to $900 off – how to get $50 more

Samsung has been leaning heavily into trade-in deals for years now, and the offers for its latest Galaxy S25 series are significantly better than the last generation. Here are the highlights, and how to get an additional $50 off.

Like many others, Samsung uses boosted trade-in values to help buyers get the company’s latest devices at a discount, and the Galaxy S25 series is no exception. In fact, we’re seeing considerably higher trade-in values for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra compared to the prior generation.

With the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung maxed out trade-in values during pre-orders at $750. This year, that value is boosted up to $900, meaning you can trade up to the Galaxy S25 Ultra for as little as $400. This number is also nearly doubled from the Galaxy S23 series’ $500 cap.

As per usual, trade-in values vary between devices. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is eligible for up to $900 in credit, the Galaxy S25+ up to $700, and the Galaxy S25 up to $500. Samsung will also throw in up to $300 in addition credit with S25 Ultra and $100 with S25+ for storage upgrades, additional devices, or even Samsung Care+ and its free screen repairs.

Notably too, Samsung will also give you additional perks for buying the Galaxy S25 Ultra from its website, including a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

One standout is the trade-in value Samsung is handing out towards its last Galaxy Note, the Note 20 Ultra.

Some examples of Samsung’s trade-in values towards the Galaxy S25 series include:

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series are open now and, historically, trade-in values are highest during the pre-order period, at least within the first few months of release.

On top of the trade-in values and other additional credits, you can also get an extra $50 credit with your purchase. If you use any of the links in 9to5Google’s coverage, you’ll get $50 in bonus credit at Samsung.com which can be used towards storage upgrades, accessories, and more.

The catch? To get this additional $50 credit, you’ll have to make your purchase within 30 minutes of clicking our links. After that, the credit expires. You also can’t stack this additional credit with the $50 credit you might have gotten from Samsung’s reservations over the past few weeks.

If you don’t want to buy from Samsung.com, you can also take advantage of higher trade-in values at Best Buy. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is eligible for up to $900 in trade-in values at the retailer, closely rivaling Samsung’s offer. Plus, you’ll get a $200 gift card with your purchase!

Those switching from iPhone will see some higher trade-in values at Best Buy versus Samsung. Here are some of the best values (based primarily on unlock devices at their lowest storage option), which also shows just how much more you’ll save from buying at Samsung.com with most trade-ins.
