Android 16 QPR3 lets you remove At a Glance from your Pixel’s homescreen

With Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1, Google is finally letting Pixel owners remove At a Glance from their homescreen.

Long-press on At a Glance for “Settings” and you’ll find a new “Show on home screen” on/off toggle below “Use At a Glance.” (Like before, disabling the latter setting keeps the day and date in the top row.)

This removes At a Glance from the top of your first homescreen, and lets you place other apps and widgets in its place, thus matching subsequent homescreen pages.

If you keep “Use At a Glance” enabled but “Show on home screen” is off, it will continue to show on your lockscreen and always-on display (AOD). Google has made a tweak where the condition icon and temperature now appear before the day/date.

QPR2 vs. QPR3 Beta 1

Curiously, we’re not seeing the new “Show on home screen” setting on all the devices we updated to Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1 this evening.

Android 16 QPR3 should see a stable launch in March of 2026, which will presumably coincide with the next Pixel Feature Drop.
