Android 16 QPR3 lets you adjust flashlight brightness on Pixel

Android 16 QPR3 will finally let you adjust the brightness of your Pixel’s flashlight from the Quick Settings Tile.

If you have the 2×1 QS Tile, tapping the circle (which morphs into a rounded square) just turns on the flashlight. Hitting the space to the right of that will enable the light and bring up the new Flashlight Strength panel.

You can tap or drag the handle to adjust how bright it is. Sliding it all the way down turns the flash off.

If you have the 1×1 QS Tile, tapping turns on/off like normal, while a long-press brings up the Strength controls. This matches the behavior of the Bluetooth Tile.

In a related development, QPR3 Beta 1 aligns the “Edit tiles” title and “Select tiles to rearrange and resize” description to the left instead of centering.

Android 16 QPR3 should see its stable launch in March 2026.
