Google’s official Pixelsnap Qi2 charger is on sale, but there are better, cheaper options

Google’s official Pixelsnap Charger with Qi2 25W support is suddenly on sale, but you can do better.

Through the Google Store on Amazon, the Pixelsnap Charger and the Pixelsnap Charger with Stand are both discounted in what is the first notable discount on either product.

The charger itself, the magnetic puck on a cable, is down $10 from its usual $39.99 price tag. The combination of the charger and the stand, though, is discounted by $20 down from its usual $69.99 price. So that’s $29.99 and $49.99, respectively. Those prices are available both at Amazon and Best Buy, but not the Google Store.

Google’s official 45W USB-C charger, ideal for both products but not included in the box, is also $5 off at both retailers.

While these are solid prices, it’s still not really easy to tell anyone to pick these up. We weren’t particularly impressed with the Pixelsnap Charger in our review, as it tends to run very warm as it tries to achieve 25W speeds on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and even while hitting the 15W of the standard Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro.

There are also so many good alternatives out there.

One of our favorites so far has been a Belkin 3-in-1 charging stand that has a Qi2 25W charger on the top, a secondary wireless charging pad designed for earbuds, and a USB-C output that can be used for the Pixel Watch (though ideally not with Pixel Watch 4 due to the 5W output). That one even comes with a USB-C brick in the box, unlike Google’s. Personally, I’d go for that every time over Google’s, even if it is currently priced a few dollars higher.

Similarly, UGreen has a nice 3-in-1 dock for $50. The puck-style chargers are a little hit or miss with Pixel 10, but one from ESR that we’ve tried seems to work just fine. Even IKEA has some really clever Qi2 chargers.

That said, there’s nothing wrong with picking up Google’s first-party Pixelsnap Charger – it absolutely gets the job done, and a sale is the time to buy it.
