Qi2 is an updated version of the ubiquitous wireless charging standard. What sets it apart from the original is a ring of magnets used to align the coils in the charger and the device.

Qi2 is available natively in Google’s Pixel 10 series and available in other devices via “Qi2 Ready,” which uses cases and other accessories.

My favorite alternative to Google’s Pixelsnap Ring Stand is better in every way

Google’s Pixelsnap Ring Stand grabbed attention when the magnetic Pixel 10 series launched last year, but I was never a huge fan of using it despite liking the actual concept. That’s where the OhSnap Grip Stand steps into the picture, offering the basic functionality of Google’s Pixelsnap Ring Stand while offering way more functionality and solving the problems found on Google’s accessory.

Four generations in, perhaps the most annoying thing about Google’s Pixel Watch lineup is the lack of accessories and, in particular, charging stations. The appeal of a multi-device charging station that tops off your phone, earbuds, and smartwatch is obvious, but one that Pixel Watch owners are sadly left out of. Belkin is now showcasing what is easily the best Pixel Watch-compatible charging station I’ve seen, but Google’s seeming inability to stick with a decision basically ruins it.

Galaxy S26 wireless charging is a mess, Qi2 25W speeds sound near-impossible to find

Wireless charging is very much moving in the direction of Qi2 and magnetic alignment, but Samsung stubbornly continues to avoid putting magnets inside of its phones, with the Galaxy S26 series forgoing this yet again. And, from the sound of it, that’s making the faster Qi2 25W wireless charging found on Galaxy S26 Ultra a tough thing to actually get working.
